Man Utd Legend Responds To Being Ignored By Ronaldo

Former teammate of Cristiano Ronaldo and Manchester United legend Gary Neville has responded to being ignored by the five-time Ballon d'Or winner on the weekend.

Gaya: Why I Rejected Offers To Extend At Valencia

Ronaldo has endured a tough start to the season, and was recently in the spotlight for the wrong reasons as things imploded for the Portuguese following United's 2-0 victory over Tottenham Hotspur at Old Trafford.

The 37-year-old trudged off the touchline and back into the dressing room in the Red Devils' victory over Spurs while the two sides were still playing. It later emerged that Portugal's captain had refused to come on late in the game and subsequently went home in frustration.

Ronaldo's actions in that fixture, for which manager Erik ten Hag dropped him for the subsequent match against Chelsea, caused a massive uproar in the football fraternity, and has especially divided opinion among the United old guard.

Many of the club's legends have lambasted Ten Hag for not starting the Real Madrid icon more regularly, while others have criticised the forward for his actions, with Neville falling into the latter category.

The Portuguese marksman was seemingly not happy with the Englishman's comments on his situation of late, and as he went over to see his former teammate Louis Saha, who was working as a guest pundit for Sky Sports, ahead of the Red Devils' match against West Ham United on Sunday, Ronaldo embraced the Frenchman before saying a quick hello to  fellow pundit Jamie Redknapp, but blanked Neville without saying a word.

After being ignored by international football's all-time leading goalscorer, Neville jokingly said: "We're off the Christmas card list, aren't we?".

Ramos Makes History At PSG

Following his first-team suspension for United's match against the Blues last week, Ronaldo has started the past two matches for the record English top-flight champions, and while he did not find the back of the net against the Hammers, he impressed his manager with his display.

"I think he did quite well," Ten Hag told Sky Sports after their 1-0 win
