Lionel Messi's father, Jorge Messi, has revealed why his son is unlikely to return to Barcelona.
Messi 'Tempted' To Join Shock Club
Amid rumours that the Argentine could leave Paris Saint-Germain at the end of the season, the 35-year-old has been linked with a number of clubs around the world.
Teams in Saudi Arabia have been credited with an interest in Messi, as has MLS side Inter Miami, while reports suggest that Barcelona could still be considered a potential next destination for the 2022 FIFA World Cup winner.
However, Messi's dad, who also represents the seven-time Ballon d'Or winner as his agent, seems to now have suggested that a return to the Blaugrana is off the table.
"I don't think Leo will play for Barca again," he told Sport.
"The conditions are not met. We haven't spoken with Laporta and there is no offer."
The forward's father is believed to have met with PSG recently to discuss a potential contract extension.
