It has been said that French wonderkid Kylian Mbappe actually wanted to go join Lionel Messi at FC Barcelona instead of Paris Saint-Germain.

Football agent Josep Maria Minguella, who was Messi's first representative in football, has claimed that after speaking to Mbappe's father, he discovered that the 18-year-old wanted to move to Barca when he heard Neymar was joining PSG.
"Mbappe said he only wanted to sign for Barcelona when he learned that Neymar was going to PSG," he told Cadena COPE.
"Barca could've had Mbappe for €120 million + €30 million. I spoke to his father and he only wanted to join Barca as he'd have loved to play with Messi.
"He didn't want to go to Real Madrid because of BBC (Karim Benzema, Gareth Bale and Cristiano Ronaldo).
"Neymar? It's difficult to get through to Josep Maria Bartomeu. I told him via a mutual friend that Neymar was done and that he should've signed Mbappe."

Instead of joining the Catalan giants, the France international signed for PSG on loan, but his move will be made permanent next season.
