Having been mocked by an Argentina 2022 FIFA World Cup winner, France superstar Kylian Mbappe has now hit back at the taunts.
OFFICIAL: Chelsea's First January Signing Revealed
On Wednesday night, French top-flight football got back underway after the league's World Cup hiatus, and Paris Saint-Germain managed to maintain their unbeaten start to the season as a stoppage-time Mbappe penalty secured all three points for Les Parisiens in a 2-1 win over Strasbourg.
The 24-year-old's game-winning spot-kick was the first he had taken since France's penalty shootout defeat to Argentina in the World Cup final earlier this month.
While the Copa America champions emerged victorious from the global showpiece, their goalkeeper Emiliano Martinez was later caught making fun of Mbappe on a couple of occasions, including holding a baby doll with the striker's face stuck on to it during the Albiceleste's trophy parade in Buenos Aires last week.
After PSG's victory over Strasbourg on Wednesday, Mbappe was asked about Martinez's actions.
"Celebrations are not my problem," the 23-year-old told members of the media, as per Goal.
"Don't waste energy on such futile things, the important thing for me is to give the best of myself for my club."
Mbappe's club teammate Lionel Messi did lift the World Cup trophy on that night in Qatar, and after PSG manager Christophe Galtier confirmed that Messi would be back with the team in the new year, his French counterpart also discussed the imminent reunion with the seven-time Ballon d'Or winner.

"We will wait for Leo to come back to continue scoring and winning games," Mbappe added.
"I spoke with him after the final, I congratulated him.
"It was the quest of a lifetime for him, for me too, but I failed, so you always have to be a good sport."
