The Portuguese has worked hard to become the super athlete he is today, and has posted a few pictures of his muscular body on social media in recent months.
However, while he could rival any professional bodybuilder with his shaped upper body, it is well known that too many muscles can hinder agility, acceleration and other important qualities necessary for a footballer to succeed.
Spanish newspaper Marca has now raised the question: Is Ronaldo is more determined to get the perfect aesthetic body than he is to enhance his performances as a player?
The report claims that his sprinting and jumping capacity seem to have decreased in recent months. Gaining excessive muscle mass can be detrimental to the motor skills and acceleration of a footballer, which is why players usually follow a planned training schedule.
