Ronaldo Hits Back At Rooney Over Man Utd Criticism

Ronaldo Hits Back At Rooney Over Man Utd Criticism

Cristiano Ronaldo has launched a scathing attack on his ex-Manchester United teammate Wayne Rooney, who was recently critical of his attitude this season. Here is what the Portuguese has said!

Man Utd Players 'React' To Ronaldo's Bombshell Interview

In a bombshell interview with English journalist and broadcaster Piers Morgan, the 37-year-old has revealed he feels betrayed by the Red Devils and that he has no respect for Dutch tactician Erik ten Hag.

Ronaldo's remarks amid a turbulent season in the Premier League, in which he has scored just one goal since the beginning of the 2022/23 campaign.

The full interview, which will reportedly be released later this week, also includes a response to recent criticism from his former colleague Rooney, who suggested United are not a stronger side with Ronaldo in it.

"I don't know why he criticises me so badly," he said, according to Piers Morgan Uncensored on TalkTV.

"Probably because he finished his career and I'm still playing at a high level.

"I'm not going to say that I'm looking better than him. Which is true."

Ronaldo and Rooney shared a dressing room at Old Trafford between 2004 and 2009, with their relationship said to have taken strain following a controversial incident at the 2006 FIFA World Cup.

Ten Hag Explains Decision To Make Ronaldo Captain

Following a challenge on a Portugal player, a young Ronaldo pleaded with the match official for Rooney to be sent off before the England forward was shown his marching orders.
