Less than two months after Paul Pogba's agent claimed he wants to leave Manchester United, the midfielder has spoken about his future with the Premier League giants.
The French midfielder sat down with United legend Rio Ferdinand for an exclusive BT Sport interview ahead of the Red Devils' 2-1 loss to Sheffield United on Wednesday.
Ferdinand quizzed the star midfielder about his sharp rise in form of late, and the impact Bruno Fernandes has had since joining United in January 2020.
In the last question of the interview, the former England star took the chance to ask Pogba about his future with the club after his agent Mino Raiola stated in December that the Frenchman was unhappy at Old Trafford.
"You were waiting for this one (laughs). I'm on contract, I'm enjoying myself, I'm here. Everybody knows that I have one year left," he told Ferdinand.
"I'm going to speak to the club, see what's going. For now, I'm focused on my objective. My goal is to win something. That's all I'm thinking of about is to win. All my energy, give my best, to help the team. The contract is not important, it's to win."
United slipped below Manchester City on the league table following their shock loss to the Blades on Wednesday night, but the battle near the top of the table remains tight, with just seven points separating fifth-placed Liverpool from leaders City.
