Greenwood was considered among the most talented young players to have come through United's academy in recent years, until his arrest in January 2022 left his future in England uncertain.
The forward was later charged with attempted rape, engaging in controlling behaviour and assault, but saw those charges dropped early in 2023 after key witnesses withdrew their testimony.
After initially planning to reintroduce him at Old Trafford, online backlash ultimately proved impossible ignore as the club decided it was best that he continued his career elsewhere.
Greenwood joined Getafe on loan for the 2023/24 season and impressed in Spain, contributing to 16 goals across all competitions.
