The start of 2023/24 campaign proved a low point in the English winger's career with the Red Devils.
Having already struggled to make a significant impact at Old Trafford, his misery was further compounded when his attitude in training was slated by his Dutch manager after a game against Arsenal.
The 24-year-old did not take kindly to the former Ajax Amsterdam boss' comments after that Premier League match against the Gunners, and took to social media to suggest that his manager was lying about his efforts in training.
The England international would subsequently refuse to apologise to Ten Hag, and, as a result, was exiled from the team before ultimately being loaned out to Borussia Dortmund for the remainder of the season.

However, it seems his time away at Signal Iduna Park was necessary for the restoration of their relationship as the London native has now returned to Carrington for training with the Red Devils' first team.
Sancho did not take part in United's first pre-season match against Norwegian side Rosenborg on Monday evening, but after the match, Ten Hag finally broke his silence regarding the winger's reintegration to the squad.
"As we said, we draw the line," the Haaksbergen native told members of the media regarding Sancho after his side's 1-0 pre-season loss to the Eliteserien side, as per the Daily Mail.
