Mauricio Pochettino Ready To Return To Football Amid Manchester United Links

Mauricio Pochettino, who has been strongly tipped to replace Ole Gunnar Solskjaer at Manchester United, has made a big admission amid rumours he could be the Red Devils' next manager.

Rashford Sets Incredible Record With UCL Hat-Trick

Solskjaer has come under fire since United lost 1-0 to Arsenal at Old Trafford in the Premier League this past weekend, which was his 100th game in charge of the club.

With three defeats and just two wins in the Manchester side's first six league games of the season, United are experiencing their worst start to an EPL campaign since David Moyes' tenure, with many fans calling for change.

While a host of top managers are available, it is perhaps Pochettino that is most strongly linked, considering the Red Devils were believed to be interested in hiring him early in 2019.

Speaking about his future recently on Sky Sports, the former Tottenham Hotspur boss stated that he has always been ready to make his comeback to football, and admitted he is "in love" with the English football culture.

"I discovered an amazing people in this country, an amazing culture. I am in love," he said.

"I was always ready to be involved in the game again. I love football. It's my passion, not my job.

"It's not a stress when you are working. It's not a stress to go to the training ground. It's not a stress to prepare for a game. It's not a stress to compete… look, my hair is still getting longer and longer!

"I am looking forward to being involved in the game again, I love the game. It's difficult; we are inside, we are working, we are doing things but it is not the same thing to be involved every day, to share it with your players, your staff and the club. You miss that.

"Football without fans, you realise that you lose the passion… it means a lot to have the fans in the stadium but we need to protect the industry, that is why we need to keep going and playing."
