Premier League giants Manchester United confirmed three first-team departures and also provided an update on David de Gea, whose contract expired on Friday.
The Red Devils brought in Wout Weghorst and Marcel Sabitzer on loan from Burnley and Bayern Munich in the January transfer window.
However, the club have now confirmed the two players will be heading back to their parent clubs after the short-term loan spells ended on Friday, while young defender Ethan Laird has sealed a permanent move to Championship side Birmingham City.

"In terms of incoming loans at United, Marcel Sabitzer and Wout Weghorst are due to return to Bayern Munich and Burnley, respectively," the club said on their website.
"Both made telling contributions to our Carabao Cup success and clinching a top-three place in the Premier League, with Weghorst supplying the assist for Marcus Rashford's goal in the final win over Newcastle United at Wembley."
The club also confirmed they are still in discussions with De Gea, who is now officially a free agent.
"David De Gea's contract is due to run out but discussions remain open with the long-serving keeper," the club added.
Reports in Italy claim that the Red Devils have been in talks with the agent of Inter Milan goalkeeper Andre Onana.
