The latest reports from France suggest that Paris Saint-Germain have agreed a R2.1 billion transfer for one of Europe's most sought after young talents.
Roberto Carlos Facing Jail Sentence?
According to Le Parisien and L'Equipe, Kylian Mbappe could become a PSG player as soon as this weekend, with Monaco and the French giants said to have reached an agreement over a €140 million (R2.1 billion) deal.
The publications claim that, as part of the transfer, Monaco will be given a player, but there have been reports that Javier Pastore, Julian Draxler, Presnel Kimpembe and Lucas Moura have all rejected a switch to their club's Ligue 1 rivals, so it seems the move may only be finalised once it is agreed which player will be sent the other way.
The transfer is said to be on hold until that moment, but Monaco and Les Parisiens have reportedly reached an agreement in principle.
The 18-year-old could become PSG's second most expensive transfer ever, behind Neymar, who signed for the club for €222 million (R3.46 billion).
Mbappe has played 60 times for Monaco's senior side already, scoring 27 goals and assisting a further 16 strikes along the way.
