A Paris Saint-Germain star has revealed that he was not told that Kylian Mbappe has replaced him as vice-captain at the club.

Following PSG's 7-0 win over sixth-tier side Pays de Cassel in the Coupe de France on Monday, head coach Christophe Galtier explained why Mbappe had captained the French giants on the night.
The boss said the 24-year-old had been made vice-captain at the start of the season, a decision centre-back Presnel Kimpembe has since claimed to not have been made aware of by management.
Previously, Kimpembe and midfielder Marco Verratti would regularly stand in as captain in the absence of first-team skipper Marquinhos, and the France international has stated that he found out about his demotion on social media in a post on Twitter.
"In the last few hours, I have been able to hear and read a lot about myself," Kimpembe wrote, according to Live Soccer TV.
"I therefore wish to make things clear in order to avoid continuing to spread false information in this regard.
"I was not made aware of this decision, this is completely false. That said, I will always respect the decisions of the club."
The 27-year-old came through PSG's academy before breaking into the first team in 2015 and has since made 232 appearances for the club.

Mbappe, who joined the French giants in 2017 from Monaco, signed a new deal at the club last year that made him the highest-paid footballer in Europe.
