A brace from Edinson Cavani inspired Paris Saint-Germain to a 3-0 win over Saint-Etienne at the Parc de Princes on Friday evening.

The visitors had the first real opening of the half, as Saidy Janko unleashed an effort from 25-yards out that sailed just over the crossbar.
After a slow start, PSG were awarded a penalty after 19 minutes when Cavani was brought down by Janko. The Uruguayan stepped up and converted the spot-kick.
Saint Etienne did not sit back and went in search of an equaliser as Loic Perrin's goal-bound header was cleared away in the 31st minute.
PSG enjoyed a lot of the possession in the remaining stages of the first half, but they were unable to double their advantage before the halftime break.
However, the hosts managed to double their lead five minutes into the second half as Marquinhos teed up Thiago Motta, who poked the ball past Ruffier.
Angel Di Maria went close registering his name on the score-sheet but his curling free-kick from 35-yards out crashed against the post in the 66th minute.
The hosts continued to dominate but they were let down by their finishing as the likes of Di Maria and Javier Pastore failed to add the scoreline.
Adrien Rabiot nearly added a third goal in the 88th minute but his powerful striker was palmed away by Ruffer.
The hosts did managed to grab a third goal in the 90th minute as Cavani grabbed his second by turning home Julian Draxler's cross.
