Venue: Stade de France
Paris Saint-Germain clinched completed a French treble after defeating Les Herbiers 2-0 to secure the Coupe de France title on Tuesday evening.
PSG, who entered the tie as Ligue 1 and Coupe de la Ligue champions, got off to a lively start as they hit the woodwork twice in the opening 10 minutes through Edinson Cavani and Kylian Mbappe.
Unai Emery's men eventually took the lead on 26 minutes as Giovani Lo Celso drilled home a fine left-footed effort into the bottom corner after being afforded time and space.
PSG went close to bagging a second goal in the 34th minute from a dead-ball situation, although Dani Alves' free-kick sailed just wide of the upright.
Les Herbiers, meanwhile, struggled to get the ball off PSG, which led to a lack of chances in the opening 45 minutes.
Five minutes into the second half, Les Parisians had the ball in the back of the net but the Video Assistant Referee (VAR) ruled Mbappe's goal out for a hand-ball in the build-up.
Emery opted for a change after the hour mark as Thiago Motta made way for Julian Draxler as they went in search of a second goal.
PSG were then awarded a penalty on 70 minutes when Cavani was brought down in the box. The Uruguayan stepped up and converted the spot-kick himself to double his side's lead.
With PSG comfortably leading, the coach withdrew Mbappe and Alves for the final 10 minutes, as Javier Pastore and Thomas Meunier were introduced to see out the game.
In the end, PSG saw out the remaining stages with relative ease to clinch the French Cup.
The Paris outfit have now won the Ligue 1 title, Coupe de la Ligue and now the Coup de France.
