Former Paris Saint-Germain star Angel di Maria has criticised the French club for giving Kylian Mbappe "all that power" while Lionel Messi is at the club.
Mbappe was seemingly set to leave the club last season when his contract came to an end, but surprised many by signing a bumper new three-year deal which makes the highest earner at the club.
There were reports that the new deal allowed the French World Cup winner to have a say on certain club issues, including transfers but that was refuted quickly.

Di Maria, who spent seven years at PSG, admitted his surprise to how much power Mbappe has been given with an iconic figure like Messi at the club.
"I think France in general have given Mbappe a lot of responsibility," Di Maria, who now plays for Juventus, told ESPN Argentina "The people, the president, PSG.
"They made him stay when he could have left and gave him all the power to be him and no one else.
"But there's a big difference, they gave him all that power with the best in history [Messi] next to him.
"I think they gave him all that power and strength because he's French, he was born there, won a World Cup and has an extraordinary career ahead of him. But all that aside, when I was at PSG he was a good boy and I don't think he's changed so much."
