Real Madrid have reportedly named their asking price for defender Raphael Varane, who has been heavily linked with Manchester United.
The Red Devils have been locked in talks for the French defender in recent weeks, with a number of reports suggesting they are close to agreeing personal terms with the player.
Varane is currently on holiday after his participation at the 2020 UEFA European Championship with France, but the Premier League side is still hoping to conclude a deal.
While no fee has been agreed, Spanish outlet ABC has reported that Los Blancos are demanding €50 million (R853 million) for the 2018 FIFA World Cup winner, who is in the final year of his contract.
It is further claimed that the Madrid outfit will look to cash in on the 28-year-old during the current transfer window before he becomes a free agent next year.
Los Blancos have already lost the services of defender Sergio Ramos, who joined Ligue 1 giants Paris Saint-Germain on a free transfer last week.
Should Varane decided to leave, Real will be left with only Eder Militao and Nacho as their recognised central defenders heading into the new season, although new signing David Alaba can deputise there if called upon.
