LaLiga are reportedly planning to investigate the big potential swap deal involving FC Barcelona and Atletico Madrid.
According to reports in Spain, Antoine Griezmann is set to make a return to the Spanish capital with Saul Niguez heading to the Camp Nou in a swap deal.
Marca claim that swap deals are not popular in Spanish football, as teams prefer to make independent transfers with separate valuations and to make sure teams are not trying to pull off accounting tricks.
As a result, Radio MARCA and El Partidazo de COPE has reported that the league is set to monitor the transaction between the LaLiga champions and the Catalans.
El Partidazo de COPE claimed that Barcelona selling Greizmann for anything less than €72 million will be a loss for the club although getting the Frenchman off the books would help make room for Lionel Messi to re-sign.
The report did add that the departure of Griezmann still might not be enough to register Messi as the club would need to sell more players in the coming weeks.
Junior Firpo, Jean-Clear Todibo, Carles Alena, Juan Miranda and Matheus Fernandes have already been offloaded by the club on a permanent basis.
