Barcelona reportedly made one last attempt to keep Lionel Messi after making a surprise contract offer.

However, Catalan TV show La Porteria, as cited by Diario AS, have reported that the LaLiga giants made a last-ditch attempt to ensure the Argentine stays in Barcelona.
The report claims Catalans CEO Ferran Reverter contacted the player's father Jorge Messi to make a final contract offer even though he already said his goodbyes over the weekend.
Messi did admit his at press conference that he did not want to leave the club this year, but he had no other chance.
"But this year, no. I was convinced that myself and my family were going to stay here, in our home. That's what we wanted most. But today I have to say goodbye," he said, as the Football Espana.
However, Spanish journalist Guillem Balague reported that there was no contract offer in the middle of the night as the talks with PSG continue.
