Real Madrid attacker Eden Hazard has reportedly made a final decision on his future after surprise reports linked him with a return to Chelsea.
The Daily Mirror reported that the Blues were offered the chance to re-sign Hazard in a cut-price deal, with the player having endured two disappointing seasons in the Spanish capital.
There were a number of reports in Spain claiming that Los Blancos were looking to raise funds to bring in new faces ahead of next season, having only brought in David Alaba from Bayern Munich on a free transfer so far.
Chelsea have seemingly decided against making a move for the Belgium international, who has come in for a lot of criticism in the past two years.
However, it seems the feeling was mutual as Hazard has no desire to return to Stamford Bridge, and it is claimed he plans to fight for his place under new Real manager Carlo Ancelotti.
Any deal for the Belgian winger would have been a big one as suitors would reportedly need to fork out more than £51 million (R1 billion) so that Real would avoid making a loss on the £89 million (R1.8 billion) they paid for Hazard two years ago.
Since joining Los Blancos in 2019, Hazard has managed to rack up only 43 appearances across all competitions after struggling with numerous injuries.
