FC Barcelona are reportedly attempting a swap deal with Manchester City involving Antoine Griezmann, after nothing materialised from similar discussions with Atletico Madrid.
The Catalan outfit was reportedly in talks with Atletico regarding a swap deal that would see Griezmann return to Madrid in exchange for Saul Niguez.
However, Spanish outlet Mundo Deportivo has reported that after no joy with Los Rojiblancos, Barcelona have now offered the 2018 FIFA World Cup winner to the Premier League champions.
It is believed the Blaugrana are keen to offload the Frenchman as they need to reduce their wage bill in order to register their new signings and Lionel Messi, who has reportedly agreed to a new five-year deal in Catalonia.
It is further claimed that Barcelona are looking to swap Griezmann in exchange for one of Riyad Mahrez, Raheem Sterling, Bernardo Silva or Aymeric Laporte.
Sterling has already been linked with a departure in recent weeks as the Citizens look to raise funds to sign a new striker following the departure of all-time leading goalscorer Sergio Aguero.
