Real Madrid 1-0 Athletic Bilbao
Real Madrid kept their LALIGA titles hopes alive with a late 1-0 win over Athletic Bilbao on Sunday evening.
Los Blancos were without the services of top scorer Kylian Mbappe after his red card last weekend, as Dani Ceballos returned to the starting line-up while Eduardo Camavinga and Luka Modric were also recalled.
Bilbao, meanwhile, were without the services of Nico Williams who picked up an injury earlier this week in the UEFA Europa League.
Ancelotti's men dominated possession in the first half, but they struggled to carve out any big openings in the Bilbao box.
The second half seemed to be going in the same fashion until Federico Valverde popped up with the winning goal for Los Blancos in second-half stoppage time with a superb volley.
The win sees Los Blancos move back to within four points of league leaders FC Barcelona.
FC Barcelona 4-3 Celta Vigo
FC Barcelona strengthened their grip on top spot in LALIGA with a 4-3 win over Celta Vigo on Saturday.
The hosts got off to a good start when Ferran Torres opened the scoring on 12 minutes, before Borja Iglesias hit back for Celta three minutes.
The visitors then took control of the tie as Iglesias went on to bag two more goals to complete his hat-trick in the second half.
However, Dani Olmo started the comeback in the 65th minute before Raphinha levelled things up three minutes later.
The game was headed for a draw until Barcelona were rewarded a penalty in the 98th minute after Video Assistant Referee (VAR) review, which allowed Raphinha to step up and slot home the winning goal.
