Iniesta and Neymar shared the pitch for four seasons at the Camp Nou, winning many trophies together.
Despite the Spaniard now plying his trade for Vissel Kobe in Japan, he is still keeping tabs on his former teammate.
"For me, he's one of the best players I've ever seen and with whom I've played," Iniesta told One Football.
"He is a machine for playing football, dribbling, and passing.
"I believe that when we talk about football, we are talking about spectacle, enjoying what the players present.
"And I think that seeing Ney playing is synonymous with that."
Like the Barca teams the pair played in, Neymar is now part of a star-studded Brazil squad, and Iniesta, who captured the 2010 FIFA World Cup with Spain, thinks the PSG talisman and his compatriots have a good chance of ending their 20-year wait for their sixth world championship.
"I think no one would not put Brazil as a candidate to win the World Cup. I believe they have a very strong team and I am sure Brazil will be fighting for the title," he added.
