According to Diario AS, Blaugrana chiefs have forfeited their pursuit of Spanish winger Nico Williams.
The 22-year-old enjoyed a productive 2023/24 campaign with Athletic Club, helping them win their first Copa del Rey title in over 40 years, before also featuring prominently during La Furia Roja's record-setting fourth EUROs triumph in Germany.
As a consequence of his performances for club and country, as well as their desire to sign a new left winger, the Catalan giants saw Williams as their priority target earlier in the window.

It is believed that the five-time European champions will now focus their attention on bringing Dani Olmo to the club.
RB Leipzig are willing to part with the 26-year-old, but only for a mooted fee of €60 million (R1.1 billion).
