Cech – Chelsea to Arsenal – €14m
The 33-year-old joined the Gunners after losing his first-team spot to Thibaut Courtois at Chelsea. Jose Mourinho reportedly didn't want to see Cech leave, but the club's bosses let him go anyway. Many pundits believe that, despite his poor opening-game display, the Czech can win Arsenal up to 10 points this season, which could make them genuine title contenders.
Shaqiri – Inter to Stoke – €17m
Shaqiri's career has taken a downturn since winning the treble in his first season at Bayern Munich two years ago. But after leaving the German giants in search of more first-team football, he struggled to impress at Inter. However, the 23-year-old undoubtedly has great skills and should revive his career at Stoke.
Cabaye – PSG to Crystal Palace – €14m
Before Cabaye joined Paris Saint-Germain in January 2014, he was linked with some of England's biggest clubs, like Manchester United and Arsenal. He struggled to break into PSG's starting XI, however, and has now reunited with his former Newcastle coach Alan Pardew, this time at Palace. The Eagles have been a surprise package in the Premier League of late, and Cabaye got straight into the groove of things, scoring on his debut.
Konoplyanka – Dnipro to Sevilla – Free
The speedy winger was closely linked with Liverpool but eventually joined Sevilla on a free transfer. He helped Dnipro reach the Europa League final against his new club last season and has already scored for them, on his club debut in the UEFA Super Cup against FC Barcelona, no less.
