Lots of transfers were confirmed since our first and second instalment of this feature, when Liverpool's Roberto Firmino and Manchester City's Raheem Sterling were the most expensive deals.
Kevin De Bruyne's €74 million deal ended up being the most expensive transfer of the window.
Angel Di Maria's €63 million move from Manchester United to Paris Saint-Germain was the second biggest of the window, just slightly ahead of Raheem Sterling's €62.5 million transfer.
Anthony Martial's €50 million deadline-day deal was the fourth most expensive move, while Christian Benteke's €46.5 million transfer sits in fifth position.
Nicolas Otamendi was the most expensive defender of the window, ending up in sixth position overall after his €44.6 million move to Manchester City.
Firmino, who was an early contender for the summer's most expensive signing, finished in seventh position with €41 million, ahead of Arturo Vidal with €37 million and Julian Draxler with €36 million.

The final and 10th position is shared between Atletico Madrid's Jackson Martinez, Real Madrid's Mateo Kovacic and Manchester United's Morgan Schneiderlin, who all cost €35 million.
