It beat the previous record deal, for Gareth Bale's move from Tottenham Hotspur to Real Madrid in 2013, by €4 million (R60 million).
Cristiano Ronaldo's €94 million (R1.4 billion) move to the Santiago Bernabeu dropped down to third spot, while Juventus' €90 million (R1.34 billion) acquisition of Gonzalo Higuain, which happened earlier in this window, is the fourth most expensive deal in history.
