The latest rumours had linked the 35-year-old with a move to Australia, but it has now been claimed he could move to the US instead.
Fort Lauderdale Strikers, who play in the North American Soccer League (the division below Major League Soccer), are reportedly interested in his services.
Ronaldinho's former Selecao teammate Ronaldo is a part owner of the Strikers and could play an instrumental role in luring the free agent to his club.
Both players starred at the 2002 FIFA World Cup and it seems they will soon be striving for MLS promotion together.
The Strikers are owned by a Brazilian conglomerate and are well known for featuring Brazilian players such as Romario (who played for Miami FC, which is what the club was known as before it was rebranded).
