Reports: Manchester City Join Manchester United In the Pedro Rodriguez Race

FC Barcelona's Pedro Rodriguez has been heavily linked with Manchester United, but it looks like Manchester City have thrown a spanner in the works.

Man Utd Find Di Maria Replacement

According to the Daily Mail, the Citizens are closely monitoring the winger's situation, with the Spaniard's immediate future up in the air.

The player has admitted his situation at Barcelona is a complicated one and he is prepared to leave the club in search of game time.

Manchester United has been mooted as a possible destination for past few weeks, but it's believed Manchester City have nnow stepped in with an offer for the player.

City's director of football Txiki Begiristain, who knows the player well from his time at Barcelona, is understood to be keeping a close eye on negotiations in case the Citizens' £46 million move for Kevin De Bruyne falls through.

Transfer Update: Pedro

Pedro, who came off the bench to score a dramatic winner in the Catalan's 5-4 win over Sevilla in the UEFA Super Cup clash on Tuesday night, will be hoping for a starting berth in the team's Spanish Super Cup final first leg against Athletic Bilbao on Friday.

Do you think Pedro will snub Manchester United for City this summer? Have your say in the comments section below.
