According to reports in Spain, the defender and captain will sign a contract extension until 2020 on Monday, with just a few minor legal issues to be resolved.
The Spaniard has been heavily linked with Manchester United throughout the transfer window, but many reports claim he used the Red Devils' interest to get a better deal at the Bernabeu.
Reports suggest his new deal will make him one of the best paid players at Real, with a rumoured salary of about €9 million.
United reportedly offered Ramos €11 million per season over five years, but it seems the 29-year-old is happy to earn slightly less at Real.
Ramos joined Los Blancos for €27 million in 2005 and has since made 445 appearances for the club, helping Real lift 11 trophies.

He has scored 55 goals for them, putting him at third among the club's highest-scoring defenders, but the goal he will always be remembered for was his 93rd-minute equaliser in the 2014 Champions League final.
