Pep Guardiola has been linked with a host of players since it was announced he would be taking over at Manchester City next season, but has his No. 1 target now been revealed?
Reports: Neymar Makes Decision On His Barca Future
The Spaniard will be in charge of the Citizens from the 2016/17 campaign, and there has been a lot of talk about who Guardiola could look to sign ever since the English club made the managerial announcement.
One of those players is Juventus' star midfielder Paul Pogba, who has been linked with a move away from the Bianconeri for a couple of seasons now.
Despite being interested in the Frenchman, Guardiola has noted that the decision as to whether City will pursue the midfielder or not will be up to the Manchester club's leadership.
"Now he's a Juventus player, he's very strong and very young," he said, according to ESPN.
"He's shown his value, but I know he's happy at Juve and I wish him a long career.
"Would I like to coach him? It doesn't depend on me, but on the club."
Pogba's agent, Mino Raiola, and Juventus are likely to command a massive figure for the player if he is to leave at the end of the season, with some reports suggesting he would cost no less than €80 million (R1.3 billion).
