Reports coming out of England state that Manchester United are ready to sell Angel Di Maria in order to fund a bid for Real Madrid's Gareth Bale.
Has Di Maria Lost His Real Mojo?
The Argentine winger has been in poor form lately and has failed to score since October last year, and considering that the club paid a British record fee for his services, the club no longer backs him to succeed, according to The Sunday Express.
The article also states that Di Maria, his wife and his daughter are unsettled in Manchester after their house was broken into.
This has also opened the door for the club to put signing Real Madrid's Gareth Bale at the top of their priority list.
However, they would have to smash the club record fee of £59.7 million which brought Di Maria to Old Trafford to have any chance of landing Bale. And, furthermore, Bale has frequently stated that he has no desire to leave the Bernabeau for a return to the Premier League.
Nonetheless, Louis van Gaal is optimistic that he may be able to make the Welshman change his mind.
