West Bromwich Albion have confirmed the signing of Jonny Evans from Manchester United on a four-year deal.
The Northen Ireland international made 198 appearances for the Red Devils, but has struggled with injury in recent seasons, which has seen drop down the pecking order at Old Trafford.
"I hope to push the Albion up the League," Evans told the club's official website.
"It's a new, fresh challenge for me. One I'm looking forward to.
"I know a few of the lads already and I spoke to a couple, who highly recommended the club."
The Baggies manager, Tony Pulis, expressed his delight at signing an experienced player like Evans.
"This is a great signing for the club," Pulis added.
"Jonny brings a lot of experience and will be a big player for us - he's a player I've been watching for some time.
"We are delighted to have him on board."
Evans, who won three Premier League titles with United, will link up former Red Devils midfielder Darren Fletcher, who joined West Brom last season.
