Gonzalo Higuain recently became the third most expensive player in history, so we had a look at how a most expensive transfers XI would line up.

The team lines up in a 4-2-3-1 formation, with two very attack-minded central midfielders.

Overall, the most expensive transfers XI is worth a whopping €1.2 billion (R19 billion), and features four Real Madrid stars. while Manchester United and Juventus have two representatives each, and Paris Saint-Germain have only one player in it.

Neymar, meanwhile, is one of two FC Barcelona stars in the line-up, while new third most expensive star Higuain replaced the fifth most expensive transfer ever, Luis Suarez (€81.72 million – R1.2 billion), as the main striker.
