Following the Spaniard's departure, the Catalan giants are a bit short when it comes to attacking options, particularly with Neymar being ruled out due to mumps.
Barcelona are said to be interested in Nolito, who has previously worked with manager Luis Enrique and impressed for Celta Vigo last season.
The boss confirmed the club are keen to bring in a replacement, but are not in a rush because their transfer ban only expires in January.
"We are working on it, looking at all the possibilities," Enrique told reporters, as quoted by Marca.
"We have time, as independently to if we sign someone or not, he wouldn't be able to play until January anyway.
"We are thinking and working along those lines."
Any potential arrivals before the end of this transfer window are only allowed to be registered in 2016.

Nolito scored 13 goals and assisted a further 13 strikes in 36 La Liga games last season and openly admitted he would only leave Celta Vigo for Barcelona.
He previously played for Barcelona's B team and made two first-team appearances, the first as a substitute for Pedro.
