Asamoah Gyan flew into England on Sunday and underwent a medical examination on Monday.
It was reported by Getreading that Gyan failed the medical, and would only be fit to play after eight weeks of training, but the Ghana captain has now dismissed these claims via Twitter.
He first posted a cryptic message, saying: "Am proud of my Country, No one can stop me from serving my country.. Ghana made me who I am today.."

It has since been suggested that Reading wanted to prevent Gyan from playing in the upcoming 2017 Africa Cup of Nations, for which Ghana have already qualified.
He could miss up to five weeks of club football while representing the Black Stars at the tournament in Gabon next year, and it seems Reading were not prepared to conclude the transfer knowing they would not have their new striker available for a crucial stage of the season.

Gyan, though, could still complete a deadline day transfer after being linked with Sunderland and Fulham. Either way, the 30-year-old will probably have take a massive pay cut from the £227 000 a week he currently earns at Shanghai SIPG in order to complete a move.
