Manchester City eased into the last eight after thumping Newport County 4-1 on Saturday, but they will now take on Championship outfit Swansea City.
The Red Devils, meanwhile, sent the defending champions packing with a 2-0 victory thanks to goals from Ander Herrera and Paul Pogba.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's charges will be on the road once again in the next round as they travel to Wolverhampton Wanderers.
