FA Cup Wrap 05 January 2020

Chelsea progressed to the fourth round of the FA Cup after beating Championship side Nottingham Forest 2-0 at Stamford Bridge.

Callum Hudson-Odoi got the opener for the Blues in the sixth minute while Ross Barkley made sealed the win before the halftime break.

Ten-man Crystal Palace crashed out of the FA Cup after a 1-0 defeat to second tier outfit Derby County at Selhurst Park.

Chris Martin broke the deadlock for Derby in the 32nd minute as Palace had a tough task of staging a comeback with 10 men after Luka Milivojevic received a straight red-card in the 63rd minute, but the visitors held on.

Lucas Moura rescued Tottenham Hotspur for a replay as they drew 1-1 draw with Championship side Middlesbrough at Riverside Stadium.

After a score-less first stanza, Ashley Fletcher finally broke the deadlock for the hosts five minutes after the break but Moura avoided an upset after he levelled matters for Spurs just after the hour-mark.

Sheffield United advanced to the fourth round after edging fifth tier and non-league side AFC Fylde 2-1 at Bramall Lane.

Callum Robinson got an early opener for the Blades in the eighth minute while Leon Clarke got the second on the hour-mark.

Jordan Williams gave Fylde hope of at least earning a replay after pulling a goal back with 12 minutes remaining but the Premier League side held on to victory.
