Result: Chelsea 4-1 Peterborough United
Date: 08 January 2017
Venue: Stamford Bridge
Pedro Rodriguez netted a brace to inspire Chelsea to a 4-1 victory over League One outfit, Peterborough United in the FA Cup.
John Terry was handed a rare start, while Kurt Zouma made his first start of the season, after recovering from an injury he suffered last term.
The Blues broke the deadlock after 18 minutes as Pedro curled one into the top corner, after McGee could only parry Nathan Chalobah's initial effort.
The lead should have been doubled after 32 minutes but Pedro struck the frame of the goal from point-blank range with the McGee well beaten.
Chelsea eventually doubled their lead on the stroke of halftime after as Ruben Loftus-Cheek teed up Batshuayi, who volleyed into the bottom corner.
Willian registered his name on the score-sheet in the 52nd minute, as the Brazilian cut in from the left flank before rifling the ball into the far corner.
Chelsea were then reduced to 10 men midway through the second half when John Terry was shown a straight red card for committing a foul as the last man.
The Posh then reduced the deficit in the 70th minute when an un-marked Tom Nichols turned home a cross from the right flank.
However, Chelsea bagged a fourth goal five minutes later as Batshuayi teed up Pedro, who curled the ball into the far corner, 4-1.
