Date: 28 January 2017
Venue: Stamford Bridge
Chelsea advanced to the fifth round of the FA Cup, after cruising to a 4-0 win over Brentford at Stamford Bridge on Saturday evening.
The home side found an early lead through Willian in the 14th minute. The Brazilian scored with a fine free-kick, curling the ball around the wall. In the 21st minute Pedro doubled the lead for Chelsea with a neat finish at the neat post. Batshuayi picked out Pedro with a stunning through ball on the right and the Spaniard did well to control and slot into the far corner, 2-0. The match went into the half-time break with Chelsea completely dominating and they could have scored more than the 2-0 they were leading with. Brenford tightened up in the second-half and Chelsea's chances were limited. However in the 68th minute, substitute Branislav Ivanovic put the game beyond Brenford making it 3-0 to Chelsea with a low finish from close range. Antonio Conte's charges continued to dominate with Brentford chasing shadows, before they eventually got a fourth goal. Ivanovic was fouled inside the box and the Blues were awarded a penalty, which Michy Batshuayi calmly converted, 4-0.
