FA Cup Fourth Round Wrap

FA Cup Fourth Round Wrap

Manchester City cruised to the fourth round of the FA Cup after thrashing Port Vale 4-1 at the Etihad on Saturday evening.

Oleksander Zinchenko put the home side ahead on 20 minutes but were pegged back 15 minutes later when Tom Pope levelled for the visitors.

However, the Citizens restored their lead through Sergio Aguero while Taylor Harwood-Bellis and Phil Foden sealed the win in the second half.

Manchester United will be forced to play a third-round replay after playing to a goalless draw away to Wolverhampton Wanderers.

With Anthony Martial and Jesse Lingard out, the Red Devils failed to record a single effort on target and will look forward to replay at Old Trafford.

Leicester City made light work of Wigan Athletic to progress to the fourth round.

A Tom Pearce own goal on 20 minutes set the Foxes on their way before Harvy Barnes bagged the second on 40 minutes.

Newcastle United are also set for a replay after drawing 1-1 with Rochdale on Saturday afternoon.

Miguel Almiron got the visitors' opening goal after 17 minutes, but Rochdale forced a replay thanks to Aaron Wilbraham's 79th minute strike.

Burnley progressed to the fourth round with a 4-2 triumph over Peterborough United at Turf Moor.

A brace from Jay Rodriguez and further strikes from Erik Pieters and Jeff Hendrick sealed progression for the Premier League outfit.

Fulham 2-1 Aston Villa
Southampton 2-0 Huddersfield Town
Brighton Hove Albion 0-1 Sheffield Wednesday
Bournemouth 4-0 Luton Town
Watford 3-3 Tranmere Rover (replay needed)
