Date: 18 February 2019
Venue: Stamford Bridge
Paul Pogba played a starring role with a goal and an assist to inspire Manchester United to victory over struggling Chelsea in the FA Cup fifth-round.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer made a few changes as Romelu Lukaku, Juan Mata and Sergio Romero came in for Anthony Martial, Jesse Lingard and David de Gea.
The game got off to a lively start at the Bridge as both goalkeeper were called upon to make saves in the opening 15 minutes.
It was the visitors who broke the deadlock on 30 minutes as Paul Pogba cut inside before picking out Ander Herrera, who nodded past Arrizabalaga Kepa from six-yards out.
Eden Hazard's was Chelsea's brightest spark in the first half, but the Belgian's threat down the left flank was not enough to see his side trouble Romero for the remainder of the half.
However, Man United managed to double their lead just before the break as Pogba registered a goal to go with his assist by heading home a cross from Marcus Rashford.
With Chelsea struggling to break down the United defence, Maurizio Sarri threw on Brazil international Willian for Pedro on the 58th minute.
Solskjaer responded with a double change for the final 20 minutes as Alexis Sanchez and Andreas Pereira replaced Lukaku and Mata.
Chelsea pushed for a goal to kickstart a comeback, but the United defence remained resolute as the encounter ended 2-0.
