Arsenal are the tournament's record holders with 13 titles to their name, one ahead of rivals Manchester United.
A former Gunners star leads the overall list with the most winners' medals, after Ashley Cole won seven FA Cups during his career, with three coming at Arsenal and four more with Chelsea.
The title for the African with the most Africa titles belongs to four ex-Chelsea stars, Didier Drogba, Michael Essien, Salomon Kalou and John Obi Mikel who all won four titles at Chelsea.
South-African born goalkeeper Bruce Grobbelaar has also enjoyed some success in the tournament after securing three winners' medals during his time with Liverpool.
Grobbelaar is not the only player affiliated with South Africa to have won the trophy as former Bafana Bafana star Quinton Fortune lifted the trophy with Manchester United in 2003 alongside Cameroon's Eric Djemba Djemba.
