A Premier League club is offering a reward of R593 000 for information after armed intruders broke into the house of one of their players and stole R2.3 million worth of cash and jewellery.

West Ham United defender Kurt Zouma was unavailable for his side's 1-1 draw with Crystal Palace in the Premier League on Sunday after undergoing a terrifying ordeal at his home on Saturday.
The 29-year-old and his family were present when armed robbers entered their house, with money and fashion accessories worth £100 000 being stolen from the property.
As a result, the London-based side has offered a £25 000 (R593 000) reward for information relating to the incident.
"West Ham United has offered a £25 000 reward for information leading to the arrest and successful prosecution of burglars who broke into defender Kurt Zouma's home on the eve of the Club's Premier League fixture against Crystal Palace this weekend," a club statement read, according to the Daily Mirror.
"Kurt's home was broken into on Saturday while all his family were in the house, leaving everyone present extremely distressed. While thankfully no one was harmed, it was a traumatic experience for the West Ham United defender, his wife and their young family.
"The burglars took items of significant value and of huge personal and sentimental importance to the family. The West Ham United family continue to offer Kurt's family their full support."

The Hammers will go up against Tottenham Hotspur in the Premier league on Thursday, with it currently unclear as to whether or not Zouma will participate in the fixture.
