Despite controversially forcing through a transfer from Liverpool to Manchester City in 2015, England star Raheem Sterling is reportedly considering a sensational return to his former club.
Sterling began his professional career under former manager Brendan Rodgers at Liverpool, where he developed into one of the best young players in the world, scoring 29 goals in 123 appearances for the Reds.
These reports were expanded on by the Daily Mail, which claimed that one of Sterling's representatives refused to categorically dismiss claims of a sensational reunion with the current European champions.
"Of course, there was controversy surrounding his exit but, since then, time has run its course and everything is possible."
The reports follow after Sterling recently admitted that he still "loves" Liverpool and that the club will always hold a place in his heart, but it remains uncertain as to whether or not the Reds and their supporters would welcome the 25-year-old back with open arms.
