Liverpool made it three straight wins in the Premier League after defeating Aston Villa 3-0 at Anfield on Sunday afternoon.

Reds manager Jurgen Klopp handed a start to Darwin Nunez after his brace against Newcastle United, while Curtis Jones and Joe Gomez earned their first starts of the season.The hosts got off to the perfect start when Dominik Szoboszlai opened the scoring after just five minutes with a wonderful first-time volley from the edge of the box.
The lead was doubled in the 20th minute when Mohamed Salah was sent clear down the right before picking out Darwin Nunez, whose shot hit the crossbar but deflected in off Matty Cash.
While Villa struggled to carve out chances at the other end, Nunez went agoninsingly close to grabbing a third for the host after being through on goal before seeing his lobbed effort hit the crossbar.
Klopp's charges carried that momentum into the second half and bagged a third goal when Nunez' flick-on found Salah, who tapped home at the far post for his second league goal of the season.
Klopp took the opportunity to re-shuffle the pack as Cody Gakpo, Diogo Jota and Harvey Elliot replaced Luis Diaz, Nunez and Jones for the final 25 minutes of the second half.
The remain stages of the second half failed to provide any clear-cut chances at either end as the home side ran out comfortable winners to move third on the log.
