The former Arsenal forward joined the Blues on the final day of the transfers window in a deal reportedly worth €12million.

The 33-year-old striker will wear the number nine jersey this campaign after Romelu Lukaku returned to Serie A giants Inter Milan on a season-long loan.

Some of the previous strikers to the infamous number nine, include Fernando Torres, Alvaro Morata and Gonzalo Higuain.

Thomas Tuchel is looking forward to working with Aubameyang, who he feels is not concerned with the so-called 'curse'

"Auba is not afraid of the past and what a number means," Tuchel said, as per Sky Sports News.

"He is ready to fight to create his own history, taking the number nine means he is brave enough.

"Auba from my point of view has always been happy to fight for something and to accept the challenge, so the more challenges he has the better it is."
