With Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola having previously said he does not want to have a long career in management, his brother appears to have dropped a hint as to what the Citizens boss might do next.
The Spaniard has been one of the world's best coaches in the game since his arrival on the scene at FC Barcelona in 2008, having won trophies in his home country, in Germany and in England.
While his age, 49, would suggest he still has a long time left in the game, Guardiola has often said he does not want to spend the rest of his life coaching, although he does have a lot still to offer.
The tactician seemingly has plans to go into international management at some point, as revealed in a recent interview by his brother and agent, Pere Guardiola.
"Brazil has won everything with Brazilian coaches. I think you have good coaches; you don't have to have only foreigners," he told Globo Esporte after being asked if he thinks his sibling could one day take charge of a top Brazilian club or the Brazil national team.
"Pep has a dream of coaching a national team someday, but we'll see how it goes; what will be the moment, if he will receive an offer.
"It is not something for the present."
Guardiola has won 29 trophies in his managerial career so far, including two UEFA Champions League titles.
