It has been a fast rise to the top for the ball-winning midfielder, whose first senior trophy came in the form of the Premier League title with Leicester City in the 2015/16 season.
Kante's impressive debut campaign in England helped inspire the Foxes to arguably the club's most historical moment, and thus hanging on to the tireless runner was always going to be a difficult task for the East Midlands side.
The former Caen player made a €35.8 million (R599 million) move to the Blues the following season, and his impact on the team was immediate. Antonio Conte's Chelsea lifted the Premier League title, becoming only the second piece of silverware added to Kante's cabinet.
He then added the FA Cup trophy to his collection in the 2017/18 campaign, before going on to lift the 2018 FIFA World Cup with France in Russia, a triumph in which he played a key role.
