Check Out: Guardiola Confirms Man City Star Can Leave
According to TBR Football, the Citizens are understood to be ready to cash in on Portuguese midfielder Matheus Nunes.
The 25-year-old joined the Premier League champions in 2023 from Wolverhampton Wanderers for a lofty €62 million (R1.2 billion) fee, but has struggled for regular game time.
Nunes played just 834 minutes of football in the league this past season, while he also was not handed the opportunities he would have hoped for in the FA Cup and Carabao Cup either.
The report claims the player has been unable to convince Pep Guardiola that he is good enough to command a place in his plans.
As City reportedly look to rebuild their midfield, it is suggested Nunes will be allowed to leave in the coming transfer window.
